Thousands of motorists and their passengers are severely injured or killed across the United States every year in automobile crashes. Sadly, most of these injuries and deaths are clearly avoidable. The most common causes of these crashes include distracted driving, drunk driving, and bad driving habits.
Based on observations at crash sites, The Drivers Advantage has developed an intervention seminar for high risk drivers that centers on a “no excuses” approach to changing driving habits. The curriculum helps drivers to identify risk and avoid dangerous hazards that are present every time you take to the road.
Traffic School is a defensive driving refresher course that takes students’ driving skills to the next level. The course gives students 4 hours of contununig education in the area of defensive driving. The course begins with a self-awareness workshop in which we assess each student’s level of risk behind the wheel. Within the course, students will learn proven strategies to develop defensive driving habits, and discover how to apply them to high-risk driving scenarios.
During this program students will also take part in a self awareness workshop and access their “level of risk” which is the first step in changing driving behaviors. In addition the course also covers driver psychology, hazard recognition, crash avoidance, loss of control recovery, braking dynamics, aggressive driving, practical driving strategies, and current traffic law updates. You’ll also discover proven strategies to break poor driving habits and replace them with safe defensive driving skills. You’ll also discover how to apply these techniques to real world driving situations.
