Teen students MUST be 14 years and 8 months of age to start drivers’ education Segment One. Parents are required to sign a contract, and other required forms with the school.

Unlicensed drivers under 18 years of age are prohibited by law to drive unless participating in a segment one course with a licensed instructor. It should be noted that completion of Segment 1 and Segment 2 does not automatically qualify a teen for a driver’s license. All drivers are required to pass a road skills test.

License Levels and Driving Restrictions

License #1:

MUST be at least 14 years, 9 months of age to qualify for the level One License. This license allows the student driver to drive with a licensed adult over the age of 21.

License #2

Student must have held a level #1 License for minimum of 6 months and have completed segment two no sooner than 90 days after obtaining a level 1 license.
